SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING
Synchronized swimming is one of aquatic sports that has been known all over the world. In most countries, the sport is specified for women only.
It combines swimming, gymnastics and dance. Some people refer to it as dancing in the water. The competition events consist of teams, duets and solos events.
Synchronize swimmers perform a routine of elaborate moves in the water and accompanied by music, with underwear speakers that are specifically used for synchronized swimming. The athletes must also have a make-up on during competitions with their hair tied up like a ballerina.
This sport focuses on flexibility, elegance, artistry and precise timing. The sport also needs strong endurance like swimmer and high flexibility. The difference from other aquatic sports is in this sport the athletes must be able to hold their breath longer than normal swimmers. The minimum time for holding the breath is 2 minutes in an upside-down position. To join this sport a swimmer must have:

the ability to swim at least 2 strokes

Synchronize swimming competitions take places all over the world, with over 30 events per year. Tirta Taruna 66 has been developing athletes who have been competing in national and international competitions. Sabihisma Arsyi, Tri Eka Sandiri and Samara Thalia P are a few of our athletes, who have represented Indonesia in international events.
